TAINET’s Fiber Ethernet Network Terminal Unit (FNTU) 761 series

TAINET’s Fiber Ethernet Network Terminal Unit (FNTU) 761 series allows the operator to provide Ethernet data traffic and TDM E1 services. Nowadays IP switching networks have been replacing the traditional SDH/PDH ring network. However, the E1 connection still exists in local areas and remote offices. The problem of the E1 time slot transmission is that it is not able to access the IP switching network directly and it will cause the E1 circuit working devices to stop or seek the PTN network for extending access.

FNTU 761 series is using Pseudo-Wire Emulation Edge to Edge (PWE3) technology to access the Ethernet. Based on the CESoPSN and SAToP standards, the optical and electrical Ethernet interfaces can easily access each node in the IP network and provide the so-called TDM over IP feature.
